Nagarkot Dhulikhel Trek
Nagarkot Dhulikhel Trek is one of the shortest trekking around Kathmandu Valley. This trek is suitable for beginners, younger and elder ones.
During this trek, we will cross the dense forest, paddy rice field, and small hills. From this trek, we will see Langtang and Ganesh Himal Mountain Range. Also, in the clear weather, we will see Mount Everest too from Nagarkot.
This trek starts from Nagarkot and ends at Dhulikhel. This is just a 7–8 hours trek and easily completed in a single day.
If we have enough time we can extend this trek to 5 days. For 5 days trek, we will start our trek from Sundarijal, which is just 45 minutes drive from Thamel.
General Itinerary of Nagarkot Dhulikhel Trek
On day 1 we will start our journey from Thamel. After 45 minutes drive, we will reach Sundarijal and start our trek. After 3–4 hours hiking we will reach Chisapani and will overnight there.
On day 2, we will start our trekking from Chisapani. After 5–6 hours of easy hiking, we will reach Nagarkot.
Similarly, after breakfast, we will start our trek for Dhulikhel. This is also a 6–7 hours downhill trek.
On Day 4 We will move to Namobuddha from Dhulikhel. During this trek, we can see the old traditional villages and many stupas. Namobuddha will make you feel very calm and pleased. Visit beautiful chorten and monastery in Namobuddha.
Day 5 is the last day of this trekking. After breakfast, we will start our trek from Namobuddha to legend village Panauti. It will take around 3–4 hours and we will lunch at Panauti. Thereafter, we will drive back to Kathmandu.
This is the easy trekking around Kathmandu valley and we can customize this trek as per our requirements. Also, we can do Kathmandu Valley sightseeing this includes Pashupatinath Temple, Swoyambhunath Temple, Kathmandu Durbar Square, Boudhanath. Similarly, if we have more time we can do Bhakta Durbar Square and Patan Durbar Sightseeing.
